1: What does Ryans Self Storage offer?

Ryans Self Storage provides personal and business customers, affordable, secure, clean, dry, individual storage rooms/units which are accessible during opening times, 6 days a week with no access charges. All storage rooms/units have their own lock and key to ensure that only you have access to your goods. We also offer Archive and Document storage as well as Student storage.

3: What are the costs of self storage?

The cost of self storage depends fully upon the size of the space required and the period of time its required for. We strongly believe in customers only paying for the space that they use and are happy to discuss with you in order to determine this. A price can then be quoted on the correct sized room.

4: Whats included in the price and are there any hidden extras?

The price you are quoted for storage is the only price you will pay except for a security deposit. The depsoit is usually equal to four weeks storage and is payable at the start of your storage and is refunded when you leave your storage unit.

5: How often can I access my goods and how much does it cost for access?

We offer you unlimited access to your belongings so you can add or remove items from your storage unit as you require. Access is 24 hours, 7 days a week and free from access charges.

6: Do I need to book a unit?

No, you could fill in your storage agreement with us today and move in immediately (subject to availability). However, to be guaranteed a room/unit of a specific size, it is advisable for you to book your unit in advance. Like many competitors, Ryans Self Storage do not charge a reservation fee.

7: Do I have to sign a lease?

No you do not. All we ask our customers to do is to simply sign a storage service agreement prior to moving into their room/unit. This agreement comprises of a simple "no fuss" contract and only takes a few minutes to complete.

8: What is the minimum time I can store?

Our minimum storage period is for 7 days however we may consider applications for less than 7 days rental, but that would be based on individual needs.

9: What notice do I need to give to leave?

Ryans appreciate that peoples needs and requirments are forever changing and therefore don't ask for any notice to leave, something that many competitors insist on. A refund will be processed for your initial security deposit once the the room/unit has been vacated and the padlock and key returned.

10: Do I need to pay weekly or monthly?

We will discuss weekly or monthly invoicing (payable in advance) with each individual in order to accomodate their needs.

11: What am I able to store?

You can store pretty much anything in your unit. The only real exceptions are:

12: How do I get all my goods over to you - can you do removals/van hire?

You can bring your belongings in your own vehicle or alternatively you could contact our sister company Ryans Removals to help with your transportation needs to which they will discuss costs. For Student or Archive and Document Storage, Ryans offer a free collection/delivery within a 10 mile radius.

13: Can I change to a different size unit?

All customers have the option to change to a smaller or larger unit at any time (subject to availability).

14: What sort of security do you have?

Ryans Removals Self Storage have 24 hour Digital CCTV located both inside and outside the building which monitors all entrances and exits. Aswell as this we also have a high end sophisticated alarm system to ensure all your goods stored with us are securely protected.

15: Are the storage units heated?

Our storage units are not heated however the temperature within our facility remains fairly constant all year round.

16: Do I need to have insurance?

If you don't have your own insurance cover, don't worry as we can provide you with cost price insurance to meet your needs.

17: Do you sell boxes and packaging materials?

Yes. Ryans offer a wide range of packaging materials such as boxes, bubblewrap, tape, pens etc which can be purchased at our Storage Centre or over the phone. Orders over £50 we can deliver free of charge directly to your door (within 10 mile radius). For those that book Storage or Removals with us, we offer excellent discounted rates.

18: Can you accept deliveries for my unit?

For business customers yes we can by pre-arrangement. We can hold a key to your room/unit and take delivery of goods for you if you wish. We will sign for the amount of packages received but will not for the contents as this would necessitate us opening your packages.

19: Do you have any trolleys available?

Yes.There are a number of different sized trolleys and pallet trucks available for you to use free of charge. We also have a forklift truck available for heavier goods which can be operated by one of our trained staff on your behalf.

20: Can I talk to someone at the storage centre should I have a problem?

We always have a trained member of staff available during reception opening times who will be able to help you with all your needs.
